For FOOTDISTRICT, 2024 was an exciting year filled with challenges and unforgettable moments. Each project and collaboration allowed us to explore new ways of connecting with products, their creators, and the communities around them. Here’s a look back at some of the events and editorials that shaped our year.
Innovation and Vision: Oakley, Lacoste, and Nike
The year began with our first foray into artificial intelligence, collaborating with Oakley Factory Team to explore possible futures. Their innovative vision set the tone for a year full of creativity.

On a more physical level, we started 2024 with Lacoste and Highsnobiety, hosting a workshop for the Shades of Tennis collection. Activities such as Domestic Data Streamers’ candle-making workshop, Isla6’s art intervention, and the involvement of virtual stylists Kero and Karpa brought the brand’s heritage closer to new audiences.
With Nike, we explored its ability to reinvent itself. From the futuristic Nike SNDR, presented as ahead of their time, to the Air 180, celebrated with a special booklet designed by Maldito Mono, every collaboration developed artistic concepts inspired by the original designs.

The Air Jordan 4 returned to celebrate its 25th anniversary. To mark the occasion, we drew inspiration from its history and impact on the game. Alongside the collective Casa Antillón, we created a playful structure inspired by playgrounds and basketball courts.

Another standout initiative was Jordan Familia, which returned with one of the year’s key releases: the Jordan 3 Black Cement, unveiled alongside the family formed by Damien and Vanessa, two prominent figures in Madrid’s scene with connections to Paris and Tokyo.
A Look at the Past and Future: New Balance, ASICS, and Salomon
New Balance shone with stories combining opposites and celebrating its legacy. In our CORE editorial, we highlighted its classic essence, while other projects explored its new stylistic directions.

With Keen, we sought adventure in the mountains, while Saucony took us into the lab to experiment with colors and textures.

This year, ASICS grew in visibility with an impressive collection of models inspired by both past and future running designs. At FOOTDISTRICT, we kept up with their momentum by developing ideas inspired by dance in collaboration with Jaime Álvarez (Gravesen) and artist Carolina Lindberg. Additionally, we celebrated the highly anticipated Gel-Nimbus 10.1, a collaboration between some of Europe’s top stores. To accompany it, we designed a bandana inspired by the shoe’s spirit and colors.

With Salomon, we visited their atelier to discover future designs and highlighted models like the Snowclog, XT-6, and SpeedCross 3, linking them to visual concepts of nature and architecture.

Communities and Style: Puma and adidas
In 2024, Puma brought back motorsport aesthetics with the launch of the Speedcat, which we showcased in a special event.
adidas also marked key moments: from the stories behind the Aruku, featuring figures like Teo Lucadamo, Alex Turrión, and Ángela Gimeno, to a special event for the Gazelle Indoor by Bad Bunny, where our Madrid store transformed into a neighborhood inspired by San Juan. The collaboration with Fear of God Athletics added a touch of sophistication to our narrative this year.

Segundo Espacio and FOOTDISTRICT Rumble: New Connections
Throughout 2024, we created independent initiatives to celebrate summer and Valentine’s Day, and we returned to UNMUTE, a program amplifying the voices of new creators.
This year marked the official launch of Segundo Espacio, a project uniting communities through creativity. From Confluències in Barcelona to the FOOTDISTRICT Rumble, where boxing and style converged in a unique event featuring the adidas Japan and European champion Tania Álvarez as a special guest.
2024 has been a year of exploration, creativity, and connection. At FOOTDISTRICT, we are already preparing for a 2025 full of new stories and collaborations. Thank you for joining us on this journey!
