The term “boundary” implies a place we should not cross, an unyielding frontier that, at first glance, might also seem like a constraint on creativity. At FOOTDISTRICT, we explore these frontiers to uncover our creative potential.

A boundary is defined as a border, an edge, or a line that marks the end of something and the beginning of another reality. Often, we are the ones who set these imaginary limits. Yet, far from being an obstacle, such barriers can pave the way for new perspectives. Rules that, rather than restrain, offer the possibility of new scenarios: the transformative power of creative limitations.

Choreographer Héctor Fernández’s work focuses on developing creative rhythms that connect movement with art, exploring the interaction between the body and space. At FOOTDISTRICT, we posed a boundary: a confined space—a single square meter. His response revealed new possibilities: utilizing the space in all its dimensions, uncovering unexpected ways to interact with the environment, and transforming constraints into opportunities for artistic expression.
This exploration also deepens the relationship with space and the ability to navigate between various boundaries. In this sense, it mirrors a direct connection with the design of the ASICS Gel-Kinetic Fluent and its innovative Scutoid GEL structure, created to adapt to new frontiers and redefine movement.
