UNMUTE is a FOOTDISTRICT initiative that aims to give a voice to projects that share our values, tastes, and concerns. UNMUTE #3 arrives together with SINS ART COMPANY, a collective formed by djs, singers, producers, designers and even a pianist.
What is UNMUTE?
We sometimes find ourselves living a life in mute mode, silencing nearby conversations while we wait for the next story, which will also be silenced. UNMUTE was founded to address this issue and give voice to people and projects that deserve to be heard. Projects with which we have common values, tastes, and concerns.
More than discovering new talents, it is about reversing a situation in which we are denied the opportunity to learn more and generate truth in a direct manner. UNMUTE removes veils and barriers, allowing for more direct communication between the real protagonists and the FOOTDISTRICT community.
UNMUTE #3: SINS ART COMPANY
Without a defined format, the various stages of UNMUTE have followed the protagonists’ paths. First it was MARKET, a brand that FOOTDISTRICT knew well and with whom we had developed a collaboration that had allowed us to get to know their particular way of working and inspiring. TThen there was INDIA JULIETT, two friends and creatives from Barcelona who, without making a fuss and always in the background, had influenced many of the great moments of local streetwear and international trends. NDIA JULIETT emerged in the industry and accompanied us to untraveled places, opening the way to art.
UNMUTE #3 features SINS ART COMPANY, an unclassifiable collective whose artistic versatility feeds back into their projects. Music production, fashion design, and musical creation encompass a wide range of topics, including vocal experience and a contemporary approach to the piano. A family that shares their passion for artistic expression.
Duke, Düa Düa, Del Toro, Sinna, Vloner, Wamu, Kenzie, and Rambo bring their personal and collective projects together in private events that also connect and inspire a community of followers.
At FOOTDISTRICT, we wanted to extend UNMUTE’s digital legacy with a physical version, so we held the premiere of UNMUTE #3 at the FOOTDISTRICT Madrid store, which the SINS team completed with a live performance. Following the screening of the chapter about them and their work, they presented an innovative musical proposal. Del Toro unexpectedly played the video’s ending theme on the piano in FOOTDISTRICT Madrid. Sinna and Wamu then performed several of their most recent songs, which they co-created with Vloner and Kenzie. Duke was in charge of concluding the event with a DJ set that expertly combined flamenco singing with techno. All dressed in Düa designs and supported by Rambo’s unwavering strength.
