The story of Air Max begins like this. With a revelation. With air, hidden for years, exposed for the first time like a truth that could never be concealed again. That decision changed a sneaker, but it also changed a way of seeing. What was visible was no longer enough.

Today, that same logic evolves into the Nike Air Liquid Max, a successor in the Air Max lineage featuring liquid air technology, vibrant nanoprints, and distinctive details such as a tinted translucent rubber outsole. A space where creation and confession begin to blur.

For this launch, we’ve developed an audiovisual piece together with 1111 (mil-ciento-once), an emerging electronic music collective formed by Fedra, Armas, and ru0001. Born from chance, from a fleeting encounter sustained by instinct. Three architects of sound who have shed their fear of pop while maintaining their connection to netcore and the digital underground. Music designed for walking through the city with headphones on, feeling the concrete pulse beneath your feet.

One of the tracks from their upcoming project, La Línea De Puntos, speaks precisely about expectations. About that line someone draws for you to follow. And the decision to break away from it. That’s why 1111 chose this track to recreate it in a new version, exclusively for FOOTDISTRICT. The visual layer developed by Duelo and Ex-All from the track expands on the idea of confession and public exposure, concepts that also lie at the very core of artistic creation.

The Nike Air Liquid Max exists within that same gesture, in the moment it diverges from the prescribed path. Like a confession that seeks not approval, but liberation.

Because in the end, creating is just that. Saying something you didn’t know how to say. And making it visible.

Air Jordan 1: Tokyo and Los Angeles meet in Madrid and Barcelona

To celebrate this triple collaboration, our Madrid and Barcelona stores became the natural setting for a project that connects cultures. The Air Jordan 1 — a silhouette that has been part of history since 1985 — takes the spotlight once again through the vision of Hiroshi Fujiwara and Chris Gibbs, two figures who have helped define contemporary streetwear from Tokyo and Los Angeles.

In Madrid, we welcomed the morning with coffee and custom donuts glazed in the sneaker’s colors and stamped with the three logos. A simple detail that turned the wait into part of the experience and reinforced the idea that this launch deserved something extra. In Barcelona, the energy felt the same: conversations, reunions, and the shared excitement of those who knew they were standing in front of a meaningful piece.

Two visions, one Air Jordan 1

Beyond the color blocking and signature elements such as fragment’s lightning bolt or Union LA’s exposed stitching, this collaboration stands out for what it represents. It creates a dialogue between two key scenes in contemporary street culture, brought together on one of the most recognizable silhouettes of all time.

That’s why this release managed to bring back a feeling that’s increasingly rare: the sense of taking part in a relevant moment within sneaker history.

The value of showing up

At FOOTDISTRICT, we see every launch as an opportunity to bring the community together and give context to the stories behind each collaboration. The arrival of the Jordan Brand x Union LA x fragment design collection in Madrid and Barcelona was a clear example of that — a meeting point between culture, design, and people who share the same passion.

If you were there, you know what we mean. And if you weren’t, there will be more moments like this. Because when legacy meets the right community, the impact goes beyond the sneaker itself.

TroubleMag chose Segundo Espacio for a special occasion: the launch of its fifth drop, which in this edition features Felipe Pantone’s work on the cover. Anticipation was high, and invitations sold out just moments after being announced, confirming our community’s strong interest in this encounter. The protagonist of the evening was Chromanomad 01, a physical piece we were able to experience up close, becoming the epicenter of a night defined by connection and inspiration, with an atmosphere that remained vibrant throughout the event.

This work is conceived as the materialization of a magazine cover. For its creation, Pantone—one of today’s most influential visual artists—draws inspiration from traditional chairs found in various sub-Saharan cultures, commonly used during childbirth. Constructed from wood using two interlocking pieces that require no glue or nails, this element represents essential design and a functional solution perfectly adapted to a specific place. Its structure maintains an anatomical position close to the ground, a solution born from necessity and experience, stripped of any superfluous ornamentation and deeply rooted in its sociocultural context.

In Chromanomad 01, Felipe Pantone respects these traditional forms; rather than reinventing them, he proposes a dialogue. By placing the piece in a new context, the artist applies a chromatic and material treatment that defines his visual universe.

This act of recontextualization lies at the core of TroubleMag’s new issue: exchange, respect, and the layering of identities. A philosophy that integrates naturally into Segundo Espacio, the space conceived by FOOTDISTRICT to connect and blend creative proposals that challenge the conventional.

Music at the Core

This year, music was the driving force. The Sound Of The Original: Creación Libre a 3 Bandas expanded from our central space into Segundo Espacio. We placed special focus on music across different collections with adidas. The same approach guided our collaboration with FSTVL B, where we created an adidas Originals Firebird in two versions.

The adidas Adistar Control 5 accompanied the launch of Depresión Sonora’s new album, Los Perros no Entienden Internet (…Y Yo no Entiendo de Sentimientos). A concert, an interview, and special F&F packaging were all part of the release.

Bad Bunny was another constant presence throughout the year; his music turned our stores into an embassy of Puerto Rico.

For his collaboration with adidas and Mercedes-AMG Petronas, we raffled a limited edition of mini helmets that captured the speed and spirit of Formula 1.

Events and Stores

Our stores experienced some truly memorable moments. The launch of the Jordan 4 “Brick by Brick” arrived alongside the sneaker’s BMX-inspired spirit (and one of its images went viral). Continuing the playful approach, we transformed FOOTDISTRICT Madrid into a playground to present the new colorways of the ASICS GEL-Cumulus 16.

February brought one of the year’s standout events with Nike and the DN8. Mad8 delivered eight hours of activity with workshops and experiences:

Urban Football Lab by Rio Dulce Club, where we designed our own football, Music Experimentation by Mercabae, a sound lab exploring different musical genres, From Concept to Action by Candela Capitán, a space where the choreographer guided attendees through the creation of an artistic piece. The event closed with a DJ set by Zsongo and a live showcase by El Bugg.

New Balance and the 993 hosted FOOTDISTRICT Leftovers, a dinner built around the idea of reuse, where we showcased the creative potential of reinvention.

Editorial and Photography

In March, we traveled to Paris, where Lacoste presented its new silhouette, the LC003 Neo Shot, experienced alongside Aleix Barau and Bass Diop.

Photography accompanied several launches throughout the year: with Salomon for the XT-Whisper; in the mountains with the Keen Uneek WK; and with ASICS, where we showed our most playful side through the GEL-QUANTUM 360 I AMP and the refined aesthetic of the UB9-S GEL-DS TRAINER 14.

Our most complete editorial project was SS25 Beta. Styles in Transit, a summer collection presentation that highlighted the importance of process and intentional construction.

Action! Sport with adidas and Converse

The most active moments came with adidas and Converse.

First, adidas revealed new perspectives on running through a private event that showcased the dual life of the EVO SL.

Together with Converse, we celebrated its basketball heritage and the return of a brand that has played a key role in the history of sport.

2025 has been an active and highly participatory year, one in which we involved every element that makes up FOOTDISTRICT in each event.

Without a doubt, 2026 will be a time to connect, learn, and grow together.

For Winner Circle Collective, winning transcends trophies; it’s about building and bringing dreams to life without losing one’s essence. A principle embodied in their concept of the Circle — the belief that “no one wins alone.”

At FOOTDISTRICT, we entered the Circle through SEGUNDO ESPACIO, our initiative to bring ideas together under one roof. A space we opened for a Winner Circle Collective gathering — created to celebrate culture and creativity — featuring an African-inspired dinner by Abarka and a live performance.

Before the event, we sat down with Winner Circle to get to know them and understand the foundation of their cohesion.

Now in a stage of evolution, Winner Circle aims to become both a legacy and a cultural bridge between generations and continents. Discover how they are transforming a group of friends into a powerful cultural hub that spans fashion, art, music, and strategy — creating a space where message becomes visual politics and creativity never fades.

What does “Winner Circle” mean to you? What does “winning” represent in your world?

For us, it’s not about trophies or competition. Winning is about uplifting, building, and pushing forward what we dream of, without losing our essence. The Circle represents community: no one wins alone; we win when everyone grows.

How do you balance each member’s creative individuality within a collective project?

The key is communication, respect, and loyalty. Of course, there are different ideas, creative debates, and clashing visions, but we’re all rowing in the same direction. Even if ideas start off differently, they belong to the same universe — they can always become something shared.

Community plays a big role in your work. What part does the people around you play in what you do?

The community is part of the Circle — family, friends, creatives, people from our neighborhoods, those who share our codes. All of that influences and reflects what we create.

What does authenticity mean today in the context of culture, fashion, or music?

Being authentic today isn’t a strategy, it’s a stance. It’s about being honest and consistent in a world that rewards the fake. Authenticity is refusing to disguise who we are — our roots, our references, our ambitions.

You come from very different backgrounds and live in different cities. What does that mix bring to the table?

It brings cultural richness and new perspectives. The interesting thing is that, despite coming from different cities and environments, we all come from humble families. That keeps our vision coherent and unified. The cultural mix just adds layers.

What is your creative process like when you work together — chaos, structure, or a bit of both?

It’s a real brainstorm — chaos, order, laughter, arguments, and moments of epiphany. But we’re getting better at structuring the work without killing creativity. Creativity within Winner Circle never dies — that’s why it’s so easy to work together.

Where do you feel Winner Circle Collective stands right now?

We’re at a natural point of evolution. We’re no longer just executing ideas — we’re building something that can stand on its own. A project that operates as a solid cultural brand, not just a passing moment.

What do you want people to feel or understand when they see your work?

We want people to connect and understand the message. Without realizing it, we make visual politics — we’re a bridge between two generations and two continents. Everything we do carries cultural, emotional, and social layers.

Where do you want to take the project in the next few years?

We want to turn Winner Circle into a cultural hub of reference — spanning fashion, art, music, strategy, education, and our own brand. We want the collective to evolve into a platform — a place where others can create alongside us.

Winner Circle began as a circle of friends. How do you see growth happening from there?

Winner Circle aims to grow by expanding its skills and capabilities — adding value to everything we touch. We don’t just want to exist; we want to create space and leave a legacy.

At FOOTDISTRICT, we support initiatives built on dialogue — that’s why we hope SEGUNDO ESPACIO, the place we’ve dedicated to these projects, will be the first of many spaces where Winner Circle leaves its mark.

In this new musical endeavor, Depresión Sonora dives into an intimate and profound story, presenting an album that pays tribute to Lucas — the loyal friend who, for 13 years, has inspired calm gazes and gentle lessons. The record, composed of 12 “dog commandments,” was unveiled at a pre-release event where fans were able to experience all the songs live, for the first (and perhaps last) time, in the same order as they appear on the recording.

The contrast between the project’s origin — a bedroom during the pandemic — and the scale of its live presentation is fascinating. The massive concert transformed the intimacy of that room into a collective catharsis, where analog and digital blend until they become indistinguishable — in that unmistakable Depresión Sonora style.

We couldn’t miss such an event, just as adidas couldn’t. Together, we followed Depresión Sonora (and the adidas Adistar Control 5, the model chosen for the occasion) in this first live encounter with songs that, as always, blend analog and digital textures that work perfectly on stage.

Each song thus becomes a space for the crossing of styles, where the familiar gives way to experimentation — reflecting the restless spirit of a band that never stops evolving. A path we wanted to walk together with adidas.

Barcelona became the epicenter where hoops, sound, and style met on the same court. The Converse Hoops Party, organized by FOOTDISTRICT and 24Segons, celebrated this bond with basketball — just as the Converse Shai 001 emerges as one of the silhouettes of the moment.

The goal: to capture in one event the energy that makes Shai Gilgeous-Alexander one of today’s most electrifying athletes — a fusion of style and performance.

Held in a former warehouse, the event was a true celebration of the local community: 3×3 basketball games, dunk exhibitions, music, and urban art. A space where competition, rhythm, and creativity came together — players, artists, and creators uniting to pay tribute to the culture shaping contemporary basketball.

For over four hours, the audience experienced a fusion of sport, culture, and community. The Shai 001 acted as a bridge between worlds — performance and fashion, technique and expression — reflecting the very essence of Converse and its global influence.

With an atmosphere built on light, sound, and design, the Converse Hoops Party cemented Barcelona’s place as one of Europe’s key cities for street basketball and urban culture.

Converse Hoops Party was a collective celebration — a testament to how basketball can transcend the court and become a form of art.

This is how The Sound of The Original: Creación Libre a 3 bandas came to life—an experience that reached its climax at a celebration where the compositions were unveiled for the very first time. The tracks are now available on Spotify and will soon also be released on vinyl, capturing the essence of the whole process.

Last Tuesday, Barcelona’s legendary Jamboree club became the stage for this celebration. There, Delafé y Las Flores Azules, Mourn and Carlota Flâneur shared with the audience their songs inspired by the history of the Superstar. But it wasn’t only about discovering the music: there was also space to talk with the artists about how the pieces were born, the emotions that surfaced along the way, and the connection between the initial idea and the final result, in a conversation led by Johann Wald.

Live on stage, we heard On hem d’arribar by Carlota Flâneur, Poder Estelar by Delafé y Las Flores Azules, and Hermana by Mourn, in a warm, energetic atmosphere. And although the party felt like a finale, one last surprise awaited: the unveiling of an illustration by Bea Nieto, which will grace the cover of a very special edition. A vinyl record that will compile the songs created for the project—an object that immortalizes these days of shared creation at FOOTDISTRICT SEGUNDO ESPACIO.

The Sound of the Original: Creación libre a 3 bandas is a long-term initiative by FOOTDISTRICT and adidas Originals, created to explore the musical process from the inside, using the adidas Superstar as a starting point—an icon deeply rooted in music and cultural history. The project began with a conversation between the artists, guided by Johann Wald.

The event, titled El Umbral, took place at Segundo Espacio, which was transformed into a vibrant creative environment filled with music and style: a mini recording studio, a conversation area, a curated vinyl collection, and a visual setup retracing the different eras of the Superstar—from its roots on the court to its rise as a countercultural symbol.

Johann Wald led the talk with the three featured music projects: Delafé y Las Flores Azules, Mourn, and Carlota Flâneur. Each artist shared their references, memories, and approaches to making music. Mourn, a band that began in their teenage years, reflected on unconscious creativity—where doing mattered more than knowing. Carlota described music as a vital need for self-expression, tied to the solitude of being a solo act. Delafé revisited Helena and Óscar’s early days, from vocal discovery to the collective spirit of a band rooted in Barcelona’s alternative scene.

The discussion also touched on impostor syndrome, creative alter egos, and the sudden spark of inspiration. Visual artist Bea Nieto, who designed the project’s poster, joined this first gathering—just the beginning of an ongoing journey, with a dedicated space at FOOTDISTRICT Barcelona in the months to come.

Seoul: a creative epicenter for contemporary fashion

Within today’s trend landscape, South Korea holds a central role. Seoul has become a hub of creativity where cinema, music, and digital culture constantly intersect—and everything ends up being reflected in fashion. The streets of Hongdae and Apgujeong are living showcases of how new generations reinterpret global codes. American streetwear and Japanese fashion influences are mixed to create a distinctive identity.

Emerging local brands, international collaborations, and a scene deeply connected to K-pop—now evolved into new contexts—have positioned Korean style as a key reference within contemporary fashion, transforming global influences into something authentic and culturally relevant.

That’s why PUMA brought us to Seoul to discover its next big move: H-Street. A four-day event that brought together curated spaces by collaborators such as Inside Tag and Cold Archive, and featured major figures like Rosé, global ambassador for the brand, along with local and international talents from the worlds of music, fashion, and design.

H-Street: reinterpreting athletic heritage

The main star was, of course, the PUMA H-Street—a sneaker that, in 2003, took over from the SpeedCat as part of a trend that hit the streets with force: tight silhouettes, ultra-thin midsoles, and a feel close to the ground.

While the PUMA Speedcat was inspired by motorsport, the H-Street had strong ties to track and field, with a design that referenced the Puma Harambee, a racing shoe originally developed for legendary Kenyan long-distance runner Daniel Komen.

This deep connection between PUMA and athletics was explored throughout the event: a dedicated exhibition by Inside Tag, customization workshops, an immersive pop-up curated by Cold Archive, futuristic spaces, and interactive experiences that brought the evolution of the H-Street to life.

This first encounter not only looks ahead—it also pays tribute to a legacy. The PUMA H-Street is landing soon at FOOTDISTRICT… and, as always, on the streets.
