This Saturday, the boundaries between street, music, and culture merged into a single, unique space. At FOOTDISTRICT Madrid, we unveiled the two new colorways of the adidas x Bad Bunny Ballerina by transforming the shop into a Puerto Rican home.
A Little Piece of Puerto Rico in the Heart of Madrid
Under the concept of “Home and Rhythm”, we recreated the warm and vibrant atmosphere of a typical Puerto Rican home. From walls adorned with Caribbean hues and colourful décor to the music echoing in every corner, our aim was clear: to transport every visitor to the very essence of the Island of Enchantment. To achieve this, we set up three distinctive spaces in our Madrid shop:
- Living Room | Everyday Creativity: This was where it all began, offering a casual setting in which guests could browse magazines and lose themselves in the details of the collection while background tunes played.
- Dancing Hall | Energy and Connection: At the heart of the event, this area provided a venue for free-form dancing, buzzing with energy and spontaneity, where performers executed a choreography that perfectly captured the vibe of Bad Bunny and the new adidas silhouette.
- Audience Interaction: Believing that the best way to celebrate is together, we invited everyone to dance, share anecdotes, and even enjoy a traditional Puerto Rican drink.
During the event, those who visited the shop also had the opportunity to savour a selection of classic Caribbean beverages – a refreshing ginger & mint lemonade with a slightly spicy kick, a strawberry lemonade for those with a sweet tooth, and a coconut shake reminiscent of the tropics – which not only enhanced the ambience but also paid tribute to the Puerto Rican spirit that inspired the ballerinas.
When Fashion and Culture Become One
The adidas Originals x Bad Bunny Ballerina silhouette served as the epicentre of the entire event. Every detail of the sneaker resonated with the vibrant Puerto Rican atmosphere we created: Caribbean colours, materials evoking everyday life, and the unmistakable influence of the urban music that characterises Bad Bunny.
