The GEL-CUMULUS 16 lands at FOOTDISTRICT Madrid with an experience that blends play and movement — a challenge inspired by the lightness of clouds and the playful spirit of ASICS.
For this new in-store activation, we’ve brought together several ideas around one of the standout models of the season: the GEL-CUMULUS 16. Originally designed for running, the silhouette now recovers its most active and carefree character, just in time for the revival of an era when functionality defined aesthetics.
When ASICS first introduced the Cumulus, it became the brand’s benchmark for neutral cushioning. Its name — inspired by a type of cloud — evokes lightness, softness, and motion. Our intention is to take that concept and mix it with play, one of ASICS’ most iconic traits.
That’s how the GEL-CUMULUS 16 Playground was born — an activity designed as a game that takes us back to childhood. Hopscotch, rayuela are just some of the names for a timeless classic that only needs a stone, chalk, and the urge to jump.
At FOOTDISTRICT Madrid, we’ve added the six colorways of the GEL-CUMULUS 16 and some prizes inspired by our childhood — and by the technology and tones of the model itself: mocktails, marshmallows, and GEL-lys in different flavors await you.
