At an event attended by many of the artists’ friends, adidas Originals and FOOTDISTRICT present Sabek and Pirok’s new studio.
Sabek and Piro have opened their new home, a creative space that also serves as a gathering place for artists. An extension of the classic studio concept that they launched with FOOTDISTRICT and adidas Originals.
Sabek and Piro wanted to gather painters, actors, musicians, designers, and residents of the Carabanchel neighbourhood, where they will be based from now on, around a table for the official presentation. The evening’s goal was to forge unexpected connections between different fields of creation as a seed for what will be developed in the new studio.
Among the guests were gallery owners, photographers, artists Jaime Urdiales, Spok, Nano4814, names from the world of interpretation such as Ricardo Gómez and Anna Castillo, filmmaker Roger González, art curators such as Victoria Rivers and musicians Marcelo Pantani and Yerai Cortés. The dinner was in charge of Alejandro Serrano, the youngest chef to achieve a Michelin Star, who shares with Sabek and Piro his passion for color, while the acoustic sounds of Oscar Trujillo and David del Cerro created the perfect atmosphere.
Through an exhibition space that the artists showed the guests, they were able to learn more about Sabek and Piro as well as the location where they will create their works.
Each guest was given a print that Sabek and Piro had made especially for the inauguration. A piece that they hope will be just the beginning of a series of unions and collaborations.
FOOTDISTRICT and adidas Originals, friends of Sabek and Piro, sealed their alliance with the adidas Originals SL 72, a model that, like the studio itself, hopes to be the starting point for new projects.
