This year marked the tenth anniversary of FOOTDISTRICT. It has been a dialogue between its two expressions, digital and physical, throughout its history, which will be complemented by a surprise in 2024.
The year 2023 marked the tenth anniversary of FOOTDISTRICT. Celebrations that, like the brand’s history, transition from digital to physical, from physical to digital. Throughout its first decade, FOOTDISTRICT has created its own history through campaigns ranging from the most traditional brick and mortar spirit, with in-store exhibitions and events, to actions that could only make sense online. FOOTDISTRICT has seamlessly blended the apparent dichotomy between the physical and the virtual since its inception, knowing that the experiences complement each other.

The anniversary celebrations of FOOTDISTRICT began with Outer Shelf, an attempt to amplify the virtual experiences. But it did not stop there; we boost the more physical side of basketball with Mad Buzzer, went to ScrapWorld to see the inside of an Air Max 1 “Big Bubble,” we dressed the real and virtual worlds in grey for New Balance’s Grey Day, we met our friends at Paris Fashion Week, and we celebrated the return of the adidas clover with the brilliant return of Samba.

We relaunched Terra Project, our own way of understanding the relationship with nature together with Nike ACG, we met the creators of the trainers of the moment, we created our own collection for the tenth anniversary and we launched collaborations with ScrapWorld, based on a battle between modernity and tradition, New Era, in the first anniversary collaboration, and MARKET, which of course involved their smiley balls, with which we even created a virtual shooting competition on the Outer Shelf. A balance between the two poles which, at FOOTDISTRICT, we understand as the two sides of the same coin;

The end of this 2023, the year of celebration, is the answer to the virtual beginnings of Outer Shelf. If then we entered an unknown digital world, now we seek its physical response. An equally risky bet in which contact and the sensitive respond to the virtual, as a complement, in search of the integration of what some understand to be the opposite.
The new proposal is a space born out of indefinition, a space under construction that we welcome in 2024. It is born from the anniversary celebrations, as an exercise to get to know ourselves, but it has its origin in creative participation, not in introspection. That’s why we call it Second Space;
Segundo Espacio has emerged as an observatory from which to encourage dialogue and action. A place where we can get to know each other and where, starting from the local level and opening up to any other community, we can get to know and promote new scenes.
