Versatility is Vans x Rains
Vans x RAINS represents the latest flex from the brand, showing off their versatility when it comes to collab partners.
Vans continue to push the envelope when it comes to prolific collaboration releases. Each time we look up, it feels like we’re seeing yet another gem of a release from the original skate shoe brand on the horizon.
This partnership features the dressing up of some OG Vans models as well as the use of some relatively advanced tech. It all comes together beautifully to make for, as always, an affordable line up of bangers.

RAINS has been refreshed as of late. Their Spring offering for 2018 represents some solid execution of minimalism. The Scandinavia brand represents the region’s stylistic leanings increasingly well, and it shows in their work on these classic Vans models.
The Old Skool, Sk8-Hi, and Slip-On are the subjects of this collaborative release, each serving as a visual shoutout to the industrial roots of Refshaløen, Copenhagen. They also each employ Vans’s UltraCush Lite tech.
The Slip-On has the simplest look, sporting an All-Black upper and thick White midsole. Sections of Green suede cover the Old Skool model. And finally, the Sk8-Hi sees an All-White finish with plush sections throughout, including a furry suede tongue.
RAINS isn’t quite the name you’d expect to see coming together with an OG like Vans, but it simply works.
Vans models have always taken noticeably well too simple, minimalist schemes, often deferring to the Vans Vault section of higher quality materials.
In this latest collaboration, we see a great example of how easy it is for Vans to come together with just about any name in the industry.
Available now, you’ll want to make sure you get your hands on these before everyone else catches on to the heat.
