It has in its DNA elements of five of Nike’s most popular trainers. So let’s dissect it and get deep into the Nike archives.
When you first look at them you can see a major inspiration from two 1989 Nike Trainers, the Air Current and the Air Flow. From the silhouette shape to the breathable neoprene material used these two Nike classics were honored properly.
Another classic detail is the plastic eye stays taken from the Air Max 90, perfectly placed on the LunarCharge making proper justice to the iconic model.
The internal construction was also inspired from another of Nike’s most recognizable trainers, the Air Presto, the bootie that accommodates your feet was redesigned to match today’s standards.
Lastly, the sole unit, the Lunarlon sole unit borrowed from the LunarEpic with Nike lasered branding.
