The difficult situation we are currently living is making all of us spend more time than we thought at home, so this could be the perfect moment to plan a movie marathon. We selected our favorite movies at Foot District in which sneakers play one of the leading roles. These are the most important sneakers of the history of film. Are you down to watch them all?
The Nike Cortez in Forrest Gump (1994)

The Nike Cortez marked one of our dearest memories of our cinematographic background. In one scene of the movie, Jenny gives her partner Forrest these sneakers as a present, which would join him at the most important moment of his life and one of the greatest highlights in the history of cinema.
The Nike Cortez in The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

Jordan Belfort gave us one of the biggest moments of Nike Cortez in The Wolf of Wall Street. No wonder their identity breaks down barriers: an all-rounder sneaker that makes everyone fall in love with them.
The adidas Superstar in Scott Pilgrim vs the World (2010)

These adidas Superstar became the great ally of Michael Cera to gain access into the geek world. There’s no doubt he wouldn’t have stood a chance against his lover’s exboyfriends without them.
The adidas Tourney in Teen Wolf (1985)

Michael J. Fox chose these sneakers to make basketball history in the 80s. One of the biggest trefoil classics that we had the chance to see on big screen.
The Nike Mag in Back to the Future (1985)

Still exploring the year 1985 and we come across one of the best cinematographic gems at the time. Marty McFly proved being a Swoosh fan wearing the Nike All Court in the first movie and scored a pair of Nike Mag in the second.
The Nike Air Force II in Big (1988)
Nike also reached its stellar moment in the classic scene of Tom Hanks dancing on top of a giant piano at FAO Schwarz, showing off a pair of Air Force II to slide on the keys.
The Onitsuka Tiger Tai Chi in Kill Bill (2003)

In the first part of Kill Bill, Uma Thurman matches her classic black and yellow tracksuit with the Onitsuka Tiger Tai Chi in the same colors. As a fun fact, on the soles of the sneakers you could read the message ‘FUCK U’.
The Jordan IV in White House Down (2013)
‘Get your hands off my Jordans’. Jaime Foxx wasn’t fooling around in White House Down. The Jordan IV he was wearing were the holy grail for him.
The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star in Rocky (1976)

It’s not a coincidence Stallone became Rocky in this classic. The Chuck Taylor resisted deftly and effectively all the severe swings the character had to go through in every training session.
The adidas Samba Super in Trainspotting (1996)

Mark Renton’s Samba Supers are present throughout the film: they are the first thing you see when Renton’s feet step onto Princes Street as the first chords of ‘Lust For Life’ are heard. They are Renton’s shoes for the club, indoor football or basketball. And they are, without a doubt, one of the best moments in the history of sneakers in the cinema.
