FLATLIST was founded in Copenhagen in 2018 with highly demanding quality and design standards. The brand is drawn from the idea of creating technical advanced sunglasses, efficient to protect from harmful sun rays, with the perfect design to be worn even by night. The showroom RICH & HANC’s creative directors Mads Faith Hancock and Kasper Spacey decided to create the perfect sunglasses, those that they wanted to wear but hardly found on the market. After working with benchmark brands and acquiring more than enough experience, they set their hands to the task.
Flatlist’s business view is crystal clear. The brand aims to end fleeting trends and focuses on a design that really always works. But this doesn’t necessarily mean revolving around classic and boring styles. This is about creating sunglasses with a personality of its own, full of identity and character. They therefore have only limited collections. Real products for real people. Clear philosophy. These designs take inspiration from the most influent aesthetical decades in our history, like the freedom of expression in the 60s or the minimal trend in the 90s. A cocktail of references where the main source of inspiration is clear: developing their own style.
All Flatlist models are unisex and flaunt flawless technical features up to a point that they are even visible to the naked eye. You only have to look at the side temples’ strength or the sound they make when dropped on the table to realize what this is about. All their products are handcrafted: Mazzucchelli (est.1849) Italian acetate, OBE German hinges without nickel, safety screws with silicone coating and Carl Zeiss lenses 100% UVA/UVB protection.
