There’s not long to go until summer’s at our door, and a slew of fresh warm-weather kicks arrived at Foot District this week that are just perfect for the occasion. Among the new arrivals comes the first release of the year from adidas and fashion icon Alexander Wang.
The duo’s collaborative endeavour is now in its fifth season, and is still managing to stun and surprise. Two of the three models that make up this first footwear drop we have seen before, but it is the third, the all-new Wangbody Run, that really steals the show.

It’s constructed from premium materials, is equal parts sleek and complex, doesn’t skimp on comfort and, most importantly, seriously looks the business! The Wangbody Run vibes off retro runner designs from the mid-90s, reinterpreting the era’s iconic style through Wang’s signature lens – adding some modern comfort in the process thanks to a healthy dose of BOOST cushioning.
As if the design of the Wangbody Run wasn’t tasty enough as is, Wang tips temptation well and truly over the edge by debuting the model in one of his best colourway creations to date. Trios of regal purple stripes well pop against a premium mesh and leather base that’s otherwise made up of white, black and beige. Whether you care for Alexander Wang or not, this is one of the best adidas releases we’ve seen this year and is just too good to pass up. A slick black and white make-up is also available for those that prefer simplicity – or feel the need to double up!
