Bangkok-based retailer Carnival’s interpretation of the original DuoSole design sees the 1995 silhouette injected with a bit of local flavour, courtesy of Thailand’s own national sport: Muay Thai. The GEL-DS Trainer OG has been reconstructed with a combination of pure white mesh and premium suede dyed in an assortment of neutral grey and off-white hues.
Thailand’s fierce fighting spirit shines with splashes of colour taken from both corners of the ring. The left and right shoes come decorated with a bounty of mismatched hits of regal red and royal blue, right down to the insoles. Acknowledging this collab’s status as a certified king of the ring, a strip of metallic gold leather shines bright on this make-ups Tiger stripes.
Collaboration or not, this is one mighty-fine looking retro trainer that delivers one hell of a knockout blow.
