Visual artist Tomás Pinto took over Segundo Espacio to present his new action, “Besos hasta agotar stock”, in an event that challenged conventions around relationships.
Last Friday, Segundo Espacio, the venue created by FOOTDISTRICT for new experiences and designed as a meeting point for different communities and generations, once again opened its doors to unveil “Besos hasta agotar stock”, a piece where artist Tomás Pinto explores the extreme physicality of the kiss from an unprecedented and thought-provoking perspective.

“Besos hasta agotar stock” is a study of the kiss as an act of resistance, tension, and support. The piece pushes the kiss to the limits of its physicality—where bodies come into contact, friction occurs, striving to synchronize without losing themselves, to hold on without breaking.

In this work, the kiss escapes the logic of exchange, challenging the social, economic, and emotional conventions tied to the gesture. It is a free kiss, one that persists without expecting anything in return. Through a succession of living images, bodies seek, collide, hold, and lose each other in a fleeting space where any misstep can make everything collapse. The piece offers a radical take on the most intimate of gestures, stripping it of its romanticism and confronting it with its raw physicality and relentless persistence.

Tomás Pinto, a multidisciplinary visual artist from San Juan, Argentina, merges performance and contemporary image-making in projects that address themes of digital culture, pop aesthetics, and visual experimentation. Based in Barcelona, Pinto has directed and participated in renowned projects such as The Red Room (2024) and Empatía Radical (2023), constantly exploring new forms of communication between the conceptual and the visual.

The presentation of “Besos hasta agotar stock” at Segundo Espacio reaffirmed the venue’s role as a space for meaningful encounters between diverse groups, as well as a valuable cultural proposition for the city of Barcelona and its surroundings.
