Not many footwear and specialised sports equipment companies can aspire to the prestige that the French company Salomon can lay claim to. An undoubtedly well-deserved fame and popularity, forged from years of innovation, experimentation and the constant pursuit of excellence, and exemplified in the brand’s legendary XT-6 silhouette.
By relaunching the famous XT-6, Salomon Advanced is highlighting the all-terrain and highly competitive spirit of this original silhouette from 2013. This time around though, Salomon is presenting a three-tone sneaker that brings to mind the landscapes and volcanic matter that surround El Teide, in Tenerife.

The protagonist of the Salomon XT-6 Advanced Madder Brown upper, for example, is a reddish brown colour that just whisks us off to those impressive rocky landscapes left behind by the lava that once flowed from the volcano’s crater.

The Salomon XT-6 Advanced Evening Blue is evocative of the immense mantles of grey ash that dominate the slopes of the volcano, material that constitutes one of the most characteristic signs of identity of that imposing geological formation.

Last but not least, the earthy tones of the Salomon XT-6 Advanced Vintage Kaki seem to take their inspiration from the extraordinary white sandy peaks that stand in marked contrast to the darker peaks found in the region.
A soul of lava, ash and sand for three versions of an exceptional sneaker that is equipped with EVA cushioning technology, an ultra-light and incredibly resistant mesh and TPU upper, and a chassis that has been specially designed to provide stability in any descent, no matter how difficult.
