Just when it looked like retro-running was overpowered by sneakers with more benefits, Nike surprises us with this retro-running winter collection. I still remember how Nike surprised me in 2005 with vintage-looking reissues from the 70’s and 80’s. Back them I gave into temptation with the Nike Waffle Racer, the Nike Cortez or the Nike LD-1000. I still keep them and they show that unmistakable touch from those years. Silhouettes like the Nike Vengeance, Nike Elite or the Nike Vortex followed. This season the starring role is for the Nike Pegasus 83 and the Nike Internationalist. The latter comes in both a low cut and with a sneakerboot design, so hot lately. They are spectacular!
More recently, we’ve seen how Nike updates some old silhouettes with performance features. I find the blend of past and future really appealing and worth looking into for those in the sneaker world. Nike, no doubt, is leading the charge. Don’t miss our Nike retro-running collection!
