Rihanna and Puma’s collaboration continues with new colorways of the Puma Avanti.
Puma’s second collaboration with Rihanna returns to the Avanti, a model created from two of the brand’s essential designs. The Puma King was originally a football boot worn by the greatest players in history, and it has kept its legend alive while being updated. Puma Easy Rider was a trend setter in the 1990s, when sporty lines first appeared on the catwalks.
This time, the Puma x Fenty Avanti updates football as a trend with two new colorways, Dark myrtle and Club navy, associated with vintage football styles and incorporating elements of football from other eras into the design.
To honour Puma’s legacy in football and its relationship with the Puma Avanti, we have surrounded the new Rihanna collaboration colorways with game-essentials like a ball, a whistle, and grass. Components that, at the very least, are considered accessories, even though nobody can argue with the significance of a ball.
Like the Puma x Fenty Avanti, which is now a far cry from its original trend, we have recontextualized these football essentials at FOOTDISTRICT by experimenting with new materials, locations, and sizes.
