Exactly a year ago, in November 2024, we opened the doors of Segundo Espacio for the very first time — a place created by FOOTDISTRICT out of pure openness, with only one purpose: to establish a territory where conversations could emerge naturally.
The physical space, located at the creative heart of Barcelona — surrounded by museums and a neighborhood known for its cultural energy — was only the starting point for all the questions that would follow. It became a way to absorb influences and, at the same time, to promote activities that allowed us to get to know ourselves through what comes from the outside.
What we didn’t expect was the overwhelming response from local collectives. The questions — about what comes next, what Segundo Espacio really means, what belongs within its walls — gradually dissolved into a current of proposals, contacts, and new friendships that have shaped this first year.
1. DES DE ZERO: Confluències

The inaugural activation set the tone: a place where the convergence of talents sparks unexpected dialogues. Opened with a piece by Guillermo Solas, the event featured performances that wove the community together. Through Oulouy’s expressive dance and Nusar3000’s energetic music, Segundo Espacio introduced itself as a catalyst for connecting voices and transforming encounters into expansive, multisensory experiences.
2. FOOTDISTRICT RUMBLE

An aesthetic immersion where the strength of boxing met Barcelona’s urban culture. Every corner of the space echoed the legacy of the ring, elevated alongside adidas as a symbol of style and substance. The RUMBLE ATELIER showcased the art of customization, while the RUMBLE SESSIONS challenged stereotypes through a talk with boxer Tania Álvarez. The evening culminated with Mabel Olea, blending dance and boxing to the rhythms of African diasporas mixed by Jokkoo Collective.
3. BESOS hasta agotar stock

A reflection on limits, embodied in a performance by Tomás Pintos. This challenge to social convention stripped the kiss of its romantic veneer, turning it into an unstable, one-sided act. Through a choreography of vulnerability, bodies searched and aligned in fragile synchrony, exposing the unpredictability and tension of contact. A presentation that reaffirmed Segundo Espacio as a site for radical experimentation around intimacy.
4. HABITAR TEIXITS

An invitation to weave new collective narratives through listening and territorial memory. The day began with a guided walk and culminated in an immersive exhibition. Artists Anna Irina Russell and Sejal Parekh used sculpture, textiles, and installations to explore the city’s habitability. Their pieces, infused with shared memories, transformed Segundo Espacio into a living organism reflecting on the textures of Ciutat Vella.
5. THE SOUND OF THE ORIGINAL: Creación Libre a 3 Bandas

In collaboration with adidas Originals and Superstar, this large-scale project was a deep dive into musical genesis. Segundo Espacio transformed into an experimental studio where headliners Delafé, Mourn, and Carlota Flâneur dissected their creative processes. The experience expanded through workshops exploring creative direction (by Pawla Casanovas) and styling as narrative support (by Sofía Archer), turning sound emotion into powerful visual storytelling and reaffirming the space as a hub of ideas.
Throughout the year, we followed the evolution of The Sound of The Original, which culminated in the release of a vinyl record featuring three songs inspired by the adidas Superstar.
6. TERRA PROJECT IV

In partnership with Nike ACG, this activation focused on ecological awareness and manual skill. The day — designed to stimulate both mind and hands — included the talk “Cripsis Textil” on the tension between fashion and sustainability. Creativity thrived in workshops exploring Gyotaku, the ancient Japanese fish-printing technique (led by Lourdes Rosés), and the experimental work of Nicasio Torres, merging engineering and art.
7. A NIGHT WITH WINNER CIRCLE COLLECTIVE

Segundo Espacio opened its doors to the circle of loyalty and authenticity led by Winner Circle Collective. Viewing “victory” as an act of shared cultural creation, the collective used the space to celebrate its philosophy. Centered around an African-inspired dinner curated by Abarka and a live performance, the evening became a powerful statement: a place to connect ideas, celebrate hub culture, and leave a lasting legacy.
A year that has served to create more questions and to open doors we didn’t know existed. We hope the new season brings us fresh ideas and new companions on this journey of discovery that we have turned Segundo Espacio into.
