The Nike Air Max 2 Light “Blue Lagoon” is back!
Air Max Day is still two months away, but one must-have Air Max gem is already hitting shelves. Hot on the heels of its “University Gold” retro debut, the Air Max 2 Light makes its long-awaited return in OG colours this Friday, taking a dip in refreshing “Blue Lagoon”.
The namesake aquatic hue soaks the Light’s mesh and microsuede upper, looking just as alluring today as it did in 1994. Stark white overlays and blackened Swooshes provide clean contrast, while the the legendary Air Max 2 logo on the tongues and zesty orange Air bubbles add the perfect finishing touches. It’s not hard to see why this model has topped the wishlists of many Air Max fans for quite some time.
This is the first time the Air Max 2 Light “Blue Lagoon” has returned to shelves since its original release, making this one drop you definitely won’t want to pass up!
The Air Max 2 range (which also included the yet-to-be-retroed flagship Air Max 2) was so named for its groundbreaking cushioning system which featured dual-pressure Air units that provided different levels of cushioning to different parts of the heels for maximum comfort and support. For decades, the range has been hotly coveted by collectors, with Air aficionados eagerly awaiting its 2019 return.
