Another day, another Swoosh classic brought back to life by the good folks over at NikeLab. In this case, they dig deep into the catalogue and bring back one of the more glaring examples of 90’s basketball sneaker design, the Zoom Flight 95.
For a time, this was the sneaker of choice for some of the most talented forwards in the NBA, including Kevin Garnett and even Scottie Pippen. Though most of the shoe is relatively nondescript, it’s hard to ignore those midsole pods. Each carrying script that reads “Air,” this is easily the shoe’s most nostalgic design cue.
NikeLab brings these beauties back in rare form, adorning the upper in suede. Thankfully, we also get functional upgrades that improve on the original, like increased ventilation and a softer cushion set up. Modern upgrades to the same old classic make this another surefire hit from Nike.
