NikeLab Vapor Street Flyknit
When it comes to crossing performance with street-friendly style, Nike stands among the greats. The Swoosh brand has been churning out lifestyle iterations for decades, some of which have even become icons in the sneaker world.
Most recently, Nike takes us back to their BREAKING2 project from a year ago. The NikeLab Vapor Street Flyknit comes to us as the more streetwear appropriate version of the Vaporfly Elite 4%.
From the tracks to the streets:
That model was heavy on performance, but it transitions into life at the Vapor Street Flyknit as a stylish rendition. Check it out. The Vapor Street Flyknit comes with brand’s signature woven material, as the name suggests. This sort of build makes for some interesting tonal or monochromatic schemes.

The midsole is about as chunky towards the heel as the aforementioned Elite model, but with some alteration. Being that this isn’t a performance model, Nike opted to go without the ZoomX cushioning from BREAKING2 attempts.
Nonetheless, we do see some other interesting details from the older performer. While lacking the same impact protection, that recognizable heel section of the upper remains. The streamlined build narrows towards the heel and finishes on a sharp taper pointing upwards.
Again, tonal color schemes should be absolutely bangers on this sneaker. With that being said, it definitely wouldn’t hurt to dip this shoe in some wilder colorways.
Seeing as how this isn’t going to seel from a runner’s standpoint, it wouldn’t be surprising to Nike market these on the back of customization. Regardless, the sharpened silhouette is the brand’s latest attempt at staying ahead of the stylistic curve in the footwear industry.
Though the high fashion world is currently obsessing over bulk and “dad-shoes,” much of the sneaker world is still fascinated by the futuristic minimalism of a sharp runner.
Out now, make sure you cop yourself a piece of the heat!
