Nike’s new 1 Reimagined collection is the collective feat of 14 female designers who came together to reimagine the Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1 to create them specifically for women. The collection includes ten different futuristic style designs, all in white – that classic, blank slate colorway that can be worn with everything. Each Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1 model are aptly named: the Rebel, the Jester, the Sage, the Explorer and the Lover. We took to the streets of Madrid to photograph these new sihouettes on real Madrid women. Curiously, the mood of each wearer seemed to reflect the namesake of each shoe. Look at at each woman and ponder, is she the Rebel, the Jester, the Sage, the Explorer, or the Lover? Or maybe she is a combination of these roles or perhaps something else? The NikeLab Reimagined 1 collection inspires one to contemplate the diverse roles of women in the world and how they make their footprints in all their different ways. It shows how the collective role of women creates a world reimagined… and a beautiful, inspired, wonderful one, indeed!
