Going back to the 90s:
The 90s were really a prolific decade when it comes to design, innovation and technology breakthroughs at Nike. It was also quite common to see some crazy experimentation’s on hybrid silhouettes where you just used an upper of one shoe and the sole unit of another.
Currently we’re riding on a 90s trend and the retro hybrids seem to be made for today’s aesthetic. The last effort of the Swoosh brand is a blend of two of the most popular models nowadays, the Air Max Plus and the Air Max 97. NikeLab just decided to mix things up and change midsoles from one model to the other and came up with the NikeLab Air Max 97 / Plus and the NikeLab Air Max Plus / 97.
Both iterations feature a black upper, white midsole and black air units to give that ultimate dark feel. Don’t sleep on this, both NikeLab Air Max 97 / Plus and the NikeLab Air Max Plus / 97 are now available both instore and online.
