Nike Celebrates Our World
Finally, it’s arrived. The World Cup is pretty much all anyone – including your friends – can talk about these days. The Nike “One World” Pack continues the conversation via some more Swoosh heat.
We’re only days into the group stage of the world’s most important and popular soccer tournament, but the heat is already on. Besides all of the special releases from major brands, the games themselves have been quite the sight, presenting plenty of intrigue.
Not to be left out of the marketing goldmine that is the World Cup, Nike has been on a roll in terms of product releases. This latest pack is inspired by global unity.
There are three pieces of this collection: the Air Max 90, Air Max Plus, and Air Spiridon. Each shoe comes with a mostly tonal White base, save for a few slivers of Grey here and there.
The main attraction here will be the print that runs along each shoe’s midsole. Depicting the flags of multiple countries, it makes for quite a splash of color.
The Spiridon adopts this visual in the most basic finish, adding on an iridescent swoosh as a nice extra touch. In contrast, the Air Max 90 is in its usual build, sporting additional flag detailing on its tongue.
The Air Max Plus is the most eye-catching pair in this drop, boasting the flag print all over the upper. To be fair, Nike hasn’t quite made this pack’s World Cup inspiration official.
It’s hard to imagine anything else being the theme of this release when you consider the timing. As far as the design of these shoes, it’s a smart decision to bring these flags together on a tonal upper.
