Nike introduces the new Lunar Roam, an invitation to technological exploration.

The new Nike Lunar Roam is a new approach to planet Earth for a technology that first appeared in 2008 as a link between performance and style. True to its time, it appears as a new generation in which the concept of performance is reborn as functionality. A new Lunar silhouette that, like other Nike technologies, draws inspiration from space, from Nike’s first racing shoe, the Moon Shoe, to the Air cushioning developed by Frank Rudy, a former NASA engineer.
The Nike Lunar Racer and Lunar Trainer were inspirations, but the Nike Lunar Roam, like a satellite that has travelled thousands of miles before returning to the same location, has been rediscovered as a silhouette that combines the striking style of Lunar technology with new technologies. Lightweight multi-layer reinforcements, a Magwire system that surrounds and adapts to the foot, and the functionality that comes from combining traction pods and Lunar foam, making it suitable for any terrain.
The Lunar technology now conceals a different interpretation of its creative inspiration. A dimension and an interest in discovering new worlds, both present and future, in which exploration seeks personal growth rather than conquest.
