2017 has been the year when the Nike Flyknit Trainer finally makes its return. Gracing us back in July, this is one of the more underplayed bangers from the Swoosh collection of training models. Though released originally in 2012, it was previewed on the feet of NBA superstars Kevin Durant and Draymond Green before eventually dropping. The Flyknit Trainer, coming in two solid looks, is nothing to play with.
The trademark knit upper is the first aspect worthy of note here. As seen in the aforementioned iterations, it’s easy to do some serious gradient work on this model. The colorways have been relatively sedate thus far, but you can expect some more boisterous combinations in the near future. Along that upper are the Flywire support system cables, keeping your foot snug and in place.
These two colorways, though pretty low key, are significant. The Black/White version represents the hype around the model when it first dropped in 2012. Much like the “Oreo” Racer model, this particular colorway of the Flyknit Trainer was hotly pursued. In the contrast, the “Sunset Tint” iteration is fairly new and wasn’t spotted until earlier this year.
Flyknit models are still a hot commodity in the sneakerhead community, so you’ll have limited chances to scoop these up. Don’t miss out! Check it out now at our Nike store.
