Nike Air More Uptempo Goes Reflective for the season
Nike’s retro habits really began with the Air Jordan 1. But, the Nike Air More Uptempo Reflective Triple Black is a good example of that decision’s staying power.
Scottie Pippen’s first major go-to sneaker comes back to us in a colorway that is sure to sell out quickly. With that being said, it’ll be good news to sneakerheads to hear that these won’t be in the usual extremely limited run from the Swoosh – sorry, resellers!
Instead, fans of the legendary sneaker will have a fairly good chance of copping themselves a pair in this distinctive color scheme.
Triple Black will forever be one of the easiest iterations of any shoe to move off the shelves. As far as this shoe goes, the upper’s soft leather build boasts the scheme gracefully, highlighted by the contrast of reflective lacing.
That familiar oversized AIR script, as always, manages to be the easiest quality to notice from the upper. Even when it’s stitched on and bordered by completely Black leather details, you simply can’t miss this element of the Air More Uptempo.
Known as Scottie Pippens first true signature shoe, the Air More Uptempo’s legacy includes Olympic Gold Medals along with numerous NBA titles.
Along the way, this shoe served as something of a containment field for one of the most dynamic and explosive athletes that basketball has ever seen. In fact, at least a few of the main functional design elements here go on to inspire basketball sneakers that come after it.
One example is the full-length Air cushioning set-up, which is something we saw incorporated early in the LeBron signature series.
Though it isn’t a go-to for too many hoop heads in terms of on-court wears, the Nike Air More Uptempo Reflective Triple Black will be difficult to ignore – but easy to rock.
Cop yours when they drop on April 27th!
