The Air Max 97 was one of the more bittersweet releases in Nike’s recent history. La Silver made its way back from a lauded page in the Swoosh’s history. To be sure, fans were more than excited. But, the bitter part came with knowing that, outside of the Gold iteration, the 97 didn’t look like it would get more releases. Yes, Nike did come out with La Silver a few more times, but it just wasn’t enough. Now, we get the variety we’ve been craving.
The Air Max 97 releases in a premium iteration this time around. Of course, one of the main draws here is the fact that Swoosh heads will now have more choices to go with. This isn’t some low-key banger either! The Air Max 97 has been responsible for some serious line-ups. The premium hint here comes in the form of suede on an otherwise nylon and mesh upper. Other than that, the same old features are maintained.
The color options range from an understated White/ Light Pomace to a more expressive pink version. Each brings out the suede in its own way, setting off your outfits in a number of finishes. Hopefully this latest release is a sign of more to come from the AM 97. But, just in case, don’t wait too long to scoop up a pair for yourself!
