Back after 15 years: Nike Air Max 1 “Curry”
The Nike Air Max 1 “Curry” marks the return of one of the most popular colorways of any shoe ever. The Tan/ Brown look has always been pretty ubiquitous.
If you’re a New Yorker, you’ve seen more than your fair share of Timberland boots – during winter and beyond. Across the pond, the Tan aesthetic is a staple on boots as well as runners.
It didn’t matter where you were, or what brand you were rocking, this was a gorgeous colorway. Judging by this iteration of the AM 1, it’s easy to see why.
The “Curry” iteration was last seen back in 2003 when it debuted and was greeted as a connecting release with atmos. The folks over at atmos have long been affiliated with the Swoosh and have collaborated on a fair number of hype-worthy releases.

What we see here is a mix of synthetic and suede overlays, doused in the iconic “Curry” color scheme. As usual for the Air Max 1, a White midsole serves as the most prominent source of contrast.
With that being said, the outsole on this model is a surprising element, finishing the shoe off in a tonal Black. Slightly more subtle details include hints of Blue on the tongue.
This release will be an example of the flexibility that comes with some Nike wears. The “Curry” colorway is perfect as a finisher to your outfit in just about any weather.
Whether you’re still stuck in the cold or Springtime is finally making its way towards you, copping these would be a huge boost to your wardrobe. You can go light with the denim or something a little darker, these bad boys will pop regardless.
Noting the hype, we’ll be opening up an online registration for the Nike Air Max 1 “Curry” raffle. Stay tuned for more info on how you can register and cop!
