Black and White AF1s
Nike’s catalog of bangers boasts some serious depth. The Swoosh has been around for so long that they’ve stockpiled a list of bonafide hits. Among those is the Air Force 1.
Originally released as an industry-leading performance basketball sneaker, the AF1 has become so much more over the years. The cultural icon has been the subject of hip-hop fascination for decades.
Moreover, there are still ballplayers who prefer to hoop in them. We’ve also seen the shoes get decked out in some special colorways. One of those makes a return here as the Nike Air Force 1 07 Premium “Yin Yang”.
The Air Force 1’s upper has always seemed its most natural in a leather build. Fortunately, we see the same thinking on this release. A rich textured layer covers the majority of these shoes, each sporting a flip on the traditional Black-White scheme.
The split tone is an interesting look for the Air Force 1, but not one we haven’t seen before. We saw the iconic model dipped in a similar look in the “Scarface” release back in 2006. That being said, the larger point here is that these joints are fire.
There’s just no wrong way to release the Air Force 1. Students start their school years in a crispy pair of Forces. Tonal Black or White used to be the safest of fallback options when the perfect sneaker was sold out. Even if you missed out on some J’s, the Air Force 1 was not going to get you clowned.
Nike’s catalog may be seemingly endless in terms of heat, but the Air Force 1 has its own unique spot in that lineage. Whether you spot them on the feet of some outdoor hoopers on the neighborhood courts or on yours on a random night out, you can bet the right decision was made.
Don’t miss out on this gorgeous pack of premium Forces!
