My name is Alexander Osipov, I am 22 years old. I live in Russia in the town of Naberezhnye Chelny.
Hi Sasha (short for Alexander), we are truly amazed by your work. First of all, to put us in context, we would like to know a bit more about you: What is your background? What do you do for a living? Have you studied anything related to design?
I trained as an electrician, but I haven’t worked a single day in my profession. In normal life I work as a merchant who rents out snowboards, skis and bikes.

Where do you get your inspiration from? The sneakers with a built-in beer opener certainly blew us away.
I had no ties to designing and customizing clothes, but one day I came across the Instagram account of a girl from the US who is also into upcycling and customization: @nicolemclaughlin. She inspired me a lot and I thought I could make something of my own so I just started to implement my ideas and post them on Instagram. 
I also listen to a lot of music when I make my designs, it inspires me too.
Ahahaha – I really liked the sneakers with the beer opener too 
. I literally made them in only 20 minutes.

What do you have in mind for the future? Is it a long term project or just experimentation?
I love what I do. My plans are to keep making even more spectacular and creative things.
How have you received the great response you’ve had on social media?
I didn’t expect my “sneakers injection” project to go viral, when accounts with millions of followers started reposting it, I thought “wow, this is too cool”. I was so excited. 
Can you give us a preview of your next project?
I have a lot of ideas for my next projects, for example this morning I came up with: what if I made some sneakers with a grinding machine?
