The Jordan 3 was the first Jordan designed by Tinker Hatfield, a former athlete and architect who accompanied Michael throughout his career. The Jordan I was created from previous models, the II was made in Italy, far from MJ, the AJ3 was the first Jordan created specifically for Michael.
That’s why it was also the first one that didn’t fit in the high/low standards. It was the first sighting of the Elephant Print, a print created to keep leather as durable as possible in the areas with the most friction. The Elephant Print became part of the entire collection, as a new element of Jordan universe.

The Jumpman, Michael’s silhouette that later became the brand’s image, appeared for the first time on the Jordan III. And it was no coincidence. Nike’s new approach for Michael was all about expanding his sphere of influence. Three decades later, we know it succeeded.

To celebrate 35 years of the AJ3 we bring back one of Jordan’s most recognizable colorways, White Cement. The aged aesthetic, the yellowing in the midsole, the essential Nike Air branding at the heel and the updated elephant print from the original 1988 design are the details of this edition that arrives in versions for baby, child and adult. Reimagined as a classic in all sizes.
