Its cultural blend—shaped by African heritage, French Catholicism, and Haitian Voodoo—has defined New Orleans as a place full of symbolism, history, and identity.
So when Jordan Brand proposed that Zion create his own Jordan 1, the idea of paying homage to Louisiana Voodoo came naturally. Earthy and green tones, materials like canvas, hemp, and suede, visible stitching, asymmetry, and symbols inspired by traditional iconography came together to create a release that immediately resonated with collectors and Jordan Brand fans alike.

Months later, rumors began to circulate about an alternative version in blue tones: the Jordan 1 Low OG “Voodoo Alternate.” Some claimed it was an exclusive model for Zion, but little by little, images and details began to leak, confirming its existence.
The sneaker maintains the handcrafted and symbolic character of the original—with patches, reversed logos, and exposed stitching—but adopts a new color palette dominated by shades of blue.
Now, after months of anticipation, the Jordan 1 Low OG “Voodoo Alternate” finally has a confirmed release date: October 29, and it will be available at FOOTDISTRICT.
