On 1991, the genius of Nike designer Tinker Hatfield surprised the sneaker scene with a design never seen before. He took the inspiration from a holiday in which he practised water-skiing. He noticed on how well the neoprene booties conformed to the feet shape. From this experience, he came up with one of the most outstanding details of the Nike Air Huarache.
The Nike Air Huarache booklet back then titled: ‘A radical departure from conventional shoe design’. However the Nike management needed to approve such a radical design and only 5000 pairs were manufactured. All of them were taken to the New York Marathon and, surprinsingly for many, were sold out in just 3 days. Tinker had hit the nail on the head again!
The Nike Air Sock Racer, the Nike Air Huarache or the Nike Air Mowabb started a trend on the sneaker scene for which the shoe conforms to the feet shape. These design patterns are still seen in revolutionary silhouettes such as the Nike Free Flyknit.
The Nike Air Huarache Hyper Pink arrives us in a daring colourway in pink, turquoise, brown and ash.

The branding details are not located on the sides of the shoe. The NIKE lettering is on the rubber heel strap, another distinct detail of the Nike Air Huarache.

On the tongue, we find the classic logo of the Nike Air Huarache. Awesome!
