In Foot District, we’ve joined adidas Originals and Urvanity for Art Week in the capital to celebrate 50 years of the iconic adidas Superstar. For this action, different creative figures from the national scene have come together for a dinner and workshop run by urban artist Gr170 to customize their own Superstars.

Foot District and Urvanity held a unique creative event on Friday, February 28th with adidas Superstar. The art fair welcomed the action at the COAM (Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid), in a space decorated and adapted to host the programmed activities.
Among the guests there were figures from different artistic fields: musicians, painters or fashion designers, among others. All them were invited to the event organized by Foot District x Urvanity x adidas that put the focus on art and creativity and that was centered around the legendary adidas Superstar, which accumulates 50 years of history and iconicity behind it. Streetwear media such as Neo2, Highxtar and 25 gramos were also present. The guest list included such diverse personalities as Miguel Becer (Mané Mané), DJ Nano, Misterpiro, Elio Toffana and Natalia Lacunza, creating a dynamic and original scene.

First, the attendees had the opportunity to enjoy a guided tour at the Urvanity fair to get inspiration with the creations of the collective. Then, the main course: a workshop of customization headed by the urban artist Gr170. He was also in charge of putting color to the central space where the whole event took place. In the workshop, the guests customized their adidas Superstar pair with a multitude of different materials and tools. The result was a display of exclusive pieces that demonstrated the artistic ability of each of the invited personalities, with scribbled, deconstructed, jeweled or colored shoes.
After that, the day concluded with a dinner that did not cease to stimulate the imagination of those present. They had to reconstruct their own dish from a multitude of ingredients that invited them to play with colour and flavour.
