A song without an album. A sneaker as a creative compass. That’s how free the starting point was when Delafé y Las Flores Azules received the invitation from FOOTDISTRICT to join The Sound of The Original. Free creation in 3 bands.
A proposal that puts the artist in front of new perspectives, that takes them out of their usual place and confronts them with the unknown: a song linked to a sneaker and not to an LP, capable of taking risks and breaking patterns. This is how Delafé y Las Flores Azules approached the request from FOOTDISTRICT and The Sound of The Original. Free creation in 3 bands, a project that accompanies different artists in their creative process to show how ideas arise, how they evolve, and how they conclude in a track that will be released in a few weeks. Always with an eternal silhouette as the common thread: the adidas Superstar.

For the Barcelona duo—perhaps the Spanish group that best connects with the Superstar since its emergence in 80s hip-hop—this challenge meant moving away from their usual lines and recovering their more rebellious side. Just like in the origins of hip-hop, music becomes a collaborative exercise: musicians and friends participate in the composition, and Delafé y Las Flores Azules integrate the other protagonists of the project, Carlota Flâneur and Mourn, into the song.

Far from the safety of a tracklist and supported by the strength of teamwork, the new piece ventures into unexplored territory. The result, like the process, promises to be daring, collective, and non-conformist, living up to the spirit of the Superstar itself.
