Autumn has arrived. An irrefutable fact that leaves us with no option but to change our mindset and, consequently, the way we dress now that the cold weather is fast approaching. Are you quite sure about that? Well, it looks like Charaf Tajer, the brains behind Casablanca, doesn’t seem to agree, if the second part of his FW21 collection, ‘Grand Prix’, is anything to go by.

Because in its proposal for this autumn, the brand has once again demonstrated its savoir faire when it comes to combining designs inspired by the world of tennis with themes that evoke the glamour, luxury and nostalgia of places and bygone eras. On this occasion, the aesthetic chosen by the designer takes us all the way back to the Monaco Grand Prix of the 1960s, a time that was synonymous with lavish parties in casinos and embassies basking in the heat of the engines of a Formula 1 that was very different to what we know today.

‘Grand Prix’ is a veritable festival of reminiscences of brands and sponsors that would be unthinkable in today’s sporting events, designs that bring to mind the luxurious casinos of Monte Carlo and vintage-inspired prints that will leave you fantasising about a time and a place where reality and legend merge to form their own reality.

Here, the influence of the sportiest designs inspired by the gear the racing drivers would wear is combined with allusions to what happened when the engines were switched off and night fell on the famous city of casinos. All peppered with graphics and colours that evoke Paris and Casablanca, Tajer’s two favourite cities.
A collection of exclusive garments that seem to defy the gloom and chill of autumn to demonstrate, once again, why Casablanca has become a must-have in the wardrobes of celebrities, fashionists and lovers of the most luxurious and personal street sty
