In The Sound of The Original project. Free creation in 3 bands, we accompany different artists in their creative processes. The common thread of this initiative unites generations through an eternal silhouette: the adidas Superstar. The first to accept the challenge was Carlota Flâneur, and her way of understanding art is also a way of moving through the world.
Flâneur, the nickname chosen by Carlota for her artistic interventions, is also a declaration of her character. The term Flâneur, meaning “stroller” or “wanderer,” is associated with a contemplative attitude that, under a veil of apparent indifference, reveals a constant relationship with the environment. She seems calm, but she is not. The flâneur is an urban explorer who, in their apparent indolence, acts minimally, only to observe the consequences. The flâneur also builds while walking.
Knowing Carlota Flâneur, we understand that it is not a name chosen for its sound. From FOOTDISTRICT, we accompany her in developing her creative process within The Sound of The Original. Free creation in 3 bands, a project that connects past, present, and future through music and a silhouette that has traveled the same path since 1969: the adidas Superstar.
Carlota joined the project from the perspective of the passerby. The flâneur does not always walk with a clear destination, does not seek a fixed place: their space is the instant. Perhaps that is why Carlota sings in her mother tongue, seeking the root that anchors and defines her.
Carlota Flâneur is the first of the artists who are part of The Sound of The Original. A project that invites us to observe creation as a shared journey. Soon we will discover the paths of Mourn and Delafé y Las Flores Azules.
