Cultures grow on the streets, forcing you to be comfortable without losing your style. BIRKENSTOCK presents its new model, Tokio, with Ollie Olanipekun and Orion Johnson, two members of Flock Together, an organization that invites you to learn more about birds in their natural context.
The idea of Flock Together is not to create specialists in ornithology, but to learn to look at nature. In order to achieve this, they establish communities in Tokyo, where Ollie, one of the founders, and Orion, another group leader, first meet, and in the UK, where the initiative first started.
Both come from a streetwear background and apply what they have learnt about community building to the outdoors. They also want to bring their own style. That’s why BIRKENSTOCK chose them to present the new Tokio, a model inspired by their classic Boston.
The BIRKENSTOCK Tokio II features a heel strap that offers a customized fit, ideal for all-season wear. The upper is made of extra soft suede that molds to the foot like a glove. The suede has a soft, velvety texture, a pleasant feel against the skin and excellent moisture wicking properties. The famous cork insole provides an anatomical fit and the EVA sole allows a perfect grip. A blend that gives you a lot of creative freedom when selecting your look.
