NYC is the big city. And a big city is hustle and bustle, crowds and tumult, but also its opposites, calm, solitude and tranquility. The ASICS GEL-NYC has been with us for a portion of the journey, accompanying us through days and nights of turmoil, demonstrating the character of a city and a shoe. The GEL-NYC is an active design based on a New York image in which authenticity and movement are embodied by new materials that dress the brand’s heritage.

ASICS GEL-NYC routinely juggles traditional methods with cutting-edge technology, the past and the present. Like New York City, it juggles its opposing elements, such as individuality and mass culture, asphalt and parks, commotion and calm.

Because big cities always have something more, places that are sometimes hidden and sometimes fully visible, free pieces in an opposite context. 

As a result, FOOTDISTRICT takes the second drop of ASICS GEL-NYC to an orchard made of cactus and succulents, conceived as an oasis in the middle of the city despite its central idea being the opposite. If an oasis is a place that stands out in the desert, we’ve found a desert in the middle of the city.
