The London brand Aries teams up with Lee Jeans in a new Fall/Winter 2021 collection. The result is a collection of Western reminiscences built from the characteristic aesthetics of both streetwear references.
The Spaghetti Western that became fashionable in Italian cinema in the 60s and 70s, is the imaginary that serves as the source of inspiration for the new union of Aries and Lee. The fascination for the American Old West marked the production of many Italian movies until the 1980s, filmed in the poor Southern regions of the country that were so unknown to tourists from around the world. Thus, the lens of directors such as Sergio Leone or Enzo Barboni unveiled a new Italy whose cultural legacy is still valid. Also for streetwear.
Aries embraces denim fabrics and traditional Italian patterns, infused with references to classic and neo-classic sculptures. The brand’s unmistakable ‘Temple’ graphic joins the Lee logo to star on t-shirts and other simple garments. Utilitarian pieces that reinterpret classic workwear stand out, such as a striped jumpsuit or a floral workwear jacket.
