The Air Jordan XVI is one of the most recognizable silhouettes from the Jordan brand ever. Released in 2001, the iconic model designed by Wilson Smith featured a unique characteristic: a removable spat reminding the early century spatterdashes.
The idea of the design was the transition from the court to the boardroom, a crossover between classic and performance and getting MJ ready for the upcoming businessman role. Back in the original colourway, “Midnight Navy” the shoe features a leather upper, a few details in mesh and knit on the spat, visible air unit and a translucent rubber outsole. The Air Jordan XVI Retro “Midnight Navy” will be available in limited quantities both instore and at our Jordan online store, December 22th.
