Air Jordan goes Low Cool Grey
To call the Air Jordan 11 a coveted piece of footwear would be quite the understatement. The Air Jordan 11 Retro Low Cool Grey represents the return of an outright sneaker legend.
Released back in 2001, the Cool Grey AJ 11 debuted to much fanfare. Now, this is of course helped by the fact that Jordan Brand was well beyond established by then. Yet, the colorway stood out as distinctive thanks to its execution on the 11’s legendary silhouette.
This weekend, the iconic colorway returns and can only be expected to sell out quicker than you can scroll through your IG feed – which will probably have a ton of people flexing with these bad boys on.
AJ11 Premium Coolness
For this latest release of the retro look, the Air Jordan 11 Low works just as well as its higher cut version. Perhaps the largest detail difference beyond the ankle collar is the shifting of the Jumpman logo, moving from its usual lateral spot above the heel to the back end of the shoe. Beyond that, the design here is true to the OG.
That gleaming patent leather section has yet to look bad in any color and it’s definitely not starting with this Grey scheme. A White midsole serves as a contrast, given some more prominence thanks to the shoe’s overall lowered profile. As always, a translucent outsole boasting that familiar herringbone traction pattern rounds things off.
The Air Jordan 11 is a shoe you’ll still see from time to time at your local pick-up games. It’s an interesting sight because the 11 was never quite known for being a functional beast. With that being said, what it lacks in on-court functionality it makes up for in heaps of off-court appeal.
Releasing on Saturday, April 28th, you can bet these will be instant sell-outs for the weekend!
