Stealth mode with the Air Jordan 10 Dark Shadow
The Air Jordan 10 Dark Shadow brings back an underrated iteration of the OG model. The tenth installment of the signature performance line features here in a neutral scheme and premium materials.
The Air Jordan X has gotten its fair share of popular colorways over the past few years. One of the highlights was the lauded City Pack.
With that being said, this Dark Shadow colorway comes with some unique promise. It represents a hype-drenched release.
Part of the reason why this iteration represents such a hot seller has to do with the nature of the color combinations. For most Air Jordan retro models, an All-Black scheme is a great direction to take.
From Jordan Brand’s very origins to its current stock of footwear. Taking hues of Black Grey and combining them with a slight contrast has proven to be a winning strategy. Here we see a good example of this thanks to the Dark Shadow look’s execution.
The iteration’s namesake is a hue of Grey that acts as the upper’s base color. It’s featured here in a rich, soft suede. Bordering that are sections of Black in the form of textured leather on the quarter panels, ankle collars, and lace eyelets.
A contrast of Red comes to us here via the Jumpman branding on the heel as well as the insole.
The Dark Shadow and Black combination on the upper, in and of itself would show very little in the way of visual imagination. But, the addition of subtle Red cues makes sure this isn’t the case.
As far as the Air Jordan 10 goes, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen it in such a dark scheme. Yet, the branding notes and sections of suede are enough to help it stand out in your collection.
