A Wmns release for all: Air Jordan 1 Satin “Shattered Backboard”
Imagine one of the most memorable colorways of a legendary sneaker returning and, somehow, getting even better. Imagine the color getting bolder and the materials getting better in quality.
Now imagine that you can’t wear them. That must be what fans will be going through concerning the Women’s Air Jordan 1 Satin “Shattered Backboard” that releases this weekend.
Once again, Jordan Brand shows a serious knack for the hype-worthy colorways of their women’s shoes. This time, they take aim at the iconic “Shattered Backboard” iteration, managing to revitalize the shoe for its most recent release.
This release gets the material upgrade that such a legendary model deserves. The Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” originally debuts to all sorts of positive energy, encouraging some of the higher resell prices in recent memory.

After its most recent drop, a few years back, the iconic colorway disappeared for a while with little more than rumors about a potential return. The story behind the colorway alone explains the hype adequately.
The color is allegedly based on a uniform MJ wore while playing an exhibition game overseas. While playing in this game, legend has it that the GOAT literally shattered a backboard with one of his trademark thunderous dunks.
Though the background story is pretty crazy, it doesn’t take away from the sheer quality of this shoe. The leather upper, as in the previous release, is of elite quality.
But, this time, we also get paneling ling notes of satin. This isn’t the first time that the Jumpman has gone with satin for a Women’s release. Unfortunately, that quality is just one of the many reasons why this shoe is so hotly pursued. For the outsole, the Orange hue is now in the form of a translucent finish.
Don’t miss these when they drop this Saturday!
