There are few retro announcements that excite Jordan heads as much as the return of the Air Jordan 1.
Not too long ago, the return of the BRED “Banned” colorway had most of the sneaker world preoccupied. And, frankly, why not? Dipped in leather goodness and a classic color scheme, it was a sure fire hit. But…we faced the inevitable problem with a hyped Air Jordan retro release: it didn’t quite live up to the original.
Though you’re going to get people responding in much the same way to the upcoming “Royal” pair, it’s still a release worthy of your time. It’s been four years since we saw this iteration return. If you’re reading this (and are, in fact, not a purchasing bot) you very likely missed out back in 2013. Constructed in the same way as the BRED retro, this edition includes the smooth tumbled leather upper and untouched details such as the White midsole and branding.

It’s interesting to see how past Jordan 1 Royals have evolved through the years. That’s why we took the Jordan 1 Royal 2001 to the basketball court.

Expect the Air Jordan 1 2017 to drop on April 1st, just in time for Spring! Check them out at our Air Jordan store.
