Adidas x Sankuanz new collaboration takes inspiration from the street basketball and the 90s aesthetics. With this new movement, Shangguan Zhe’s Chinese brand shows its ability to personalize archive pieces adding an avant-garde touch without depriving them of their essence.

In this new collection, the pop culture and the North American basketball set themselves up as the major theme. So taking these references as sources of inspiration, the alliance between both brands reedits both footwear and clothing from the German brand’s archives. The chosen sneakers in this drop are two of the most iconic trefoil silhouettes: the Crazy BYW and the Rivalry Hi.

The Rivalry Hi model features a white leather clean construction, with ultimate stability high-boot structure and a striking urban look. This version seems bulkier thanks to the heel details and to the double tongue. For its part, the Crazy BYW model presents all the elements from the original sneaker, with an also white base that brings out the color splashes, and of course, the distinctive double tongue that characterizes this collaboration.

In addition, both models boast adidas’ classic three stripes in a reflective material that simulates a mirror. They also threw in a blue patch similar to gel in both pairs, making more visible their retrofuturistic look.

Secondly, amongst these two reedited sneakers, the collection includes several classic sports garments. This clothing collection focuses on West Coast and streetball aesthetics, using the 90s imaginary as a reference. Moreover, the capsule includes jackets with and without hood, reversible pieces, long and short pants, athletic tees and socks. The subtle allusions to graffiti and hip-hop stand out in all their designs. Always in Sankuanz’s characteristic tones: acid green and purple.
