The new adidas Originals and Wales Bonner collection travels to Iten, Kenya, where the world’s best marathon runners train.
Each piece honours the athletes’ endurance and dedication.
adidas, Wales Bonner e Iten
Iten is known as The Home of Champions due to the large number of talented athletes who live there. Runners from the area, who are typically among the best in the world, are joined by athletes from other countries eager to discover the secret. It could be the altitude, ugali (a corn flour paste), or a simple lifestyle free of distractions beyond sports.

Long-distance runners, particularly marathon runners, live or spend entire seasons in Iten to immerse themselves in a culture that distinguishes it from other destinations. Also, take advantage of training groups that bring together the best athletes.
adidas Originals and Wales Bonner collection
The adidas Originals and Wales Bonner collection recontextualizes adidas’ athletic archives with garments designed for the present, including vibrantly colored jackets, athletic-inspired t-shirts for lifestyle, tartan-inspired shorts and uniform-inspired outerwear. In addition, there are accessories like socks, bags, and hats.

Wales Bonner has reinterpreted the SL 76, an adidas archive classic, in two colors, as well as the adidas Samba in two different versions: classic and Samba Millennium.
The images of the collection, shot by Viviane Sassen, feature Kenyan athletes such as Emmanuel Wanyonyi, Bethwel Yegon, Nelly Chepchirchir, Charles Simotwo, Cornelius Kemboi and Barselius Kipyego.
The adidas Originals x Wales Bonner collection will be available at FOOTDISTRICT from May 21.
