You can be sure we haven’t seen the last progression of adidas’s crazy popular NMD model. Having already gotten plenty of versions of the XR1 and OG, the City Sock looks to be taking on a bigger stage this year as well. Here, we see two tonal color schemes that sport an all-time outsole.
The entire idea behind the City Sock was to make the NMD even more minimalist than it already was. Though the synthetic midsole panels are still there, we get a laceless build on a shoe that couldn’t be more aptly named. The only evident piece of detail on this entirely Primeknit upper is a heel pull tab. Underneath, our usual helping of BOOST sits on top of a classic Gum outsole.
Frankly, it’s easy to imagine that consistently making the NMD great is difficult without reusing older concepts. But, as long as one of those concepts is a Gum sole, most of the sneaker world will take that just about any day. Available in tonal White and Black schemes, both pairs are available today. Find both versions of the adidas NMD City Sock now at our adidas store.
